South Carolina Homeowner Rescue Program to End April 20th

The federal government established the SC Homeowner Rescue Program (SC HRP) in January 2020 to provide financial assistance to eligible homeowners experiencing pandemic-related financial hardship. SC Homeowner Rescue has helped more than 15,000 South Carolina families stay in their homes.

Due to the program’s success, SC Homeowner Rescue Program will stop accepting new applications at 11:59 p.m. on April 20, 2023.

You can still apply for the program! Use the Eligibility Calculator to see if you qualify for assistance. If you need help go to the SC Housing Website, request in-person help, or call the number below.

On April 21, 2023, a link will be posted on the SC Housing website where interested parties may sign up for a waitlist. All current and new applications received before the April 20th deadline will continue to be reviewed as long as funds are available.

For assistance please call 803.702.5222.
